Artist in the Family

I have been enjoying  just watching my sister at her art, and I picked up the camera hoping to get some good photographs. She never ceases to amaze me with her creativity! (She has a blog too...I Meant to Do My Work Today...) 

On another note, the weather is cooling down, and it looks like I will be experiencing fall for the first time in LONG time. :) Looking forward to....

• Leaves changing color • wearing sweaters and scarves • drinking hot chocolate without sweating • a bite in the air • FROST! • sitting by the fire with a good book • turning on heat in the house (I have a hard time believing this will really happen!) •

Inspiration?

I've been at a loss for inspiration lately. :S

I took some photos of these beautiful roses last week and most of them didn't turn out as I had hoped....but I'm still learning! Will hopefully be back soon with some fun photos of something-or-other.

Around Town

We spent yesterday afternoon walking around town with a dear friend, taking photos and exploring shops. One store in particular caught my attention. Why? It had an antique type cabinet and a bunch of the type that went in it.. [font nerd here] It was AMAZING. They also had antique camera lenses, and who doesn't love hot air balloons in the front window?

A Day at the Beach

 We braved the weather forecast of 50 percent chance of rain and went to the beach this morning. It turned out to be beautifully sunny. :) (I'll ignore the fact that it poured right before we got there, stopped, then poured after we left.) We splashed in the waves, built a sand castle with the most awesome tunnel ever, and hunted ghost crabs. 

Summer's almost gone, and we start school this week. It's gone so fast....
