Christmas Concert | Part 1: Angels

 Last night at the concert, Kindergarten - 4th Graders dressed up as angels and sang Christmas songs. As is the fact with most Elementary concerts, the main attraction was not the quality of the music, but the adorable factor of the performers ;)

This little boy spoke at the beginning of the performance to introduce the singing. He had his lines down perfectly, and spoke in a monotone. The best line was the last. "Sit. Back. And. En-joy. The. Show." He did great and got lots of laughs.

Many of them sang with great gusto...

 ...and all of them had bare feet!

Love it!

There were some soloists....(I love her expression!)

...and background vocalists!

P.S. They didn't have purple highlights in their hair. It was the pink light shining down onto the stage. :P

They sure were a joyful bunch!

Hair

I went to a soccer game yesterday, and guess what I took photos of!? 

Hair. Yup. Sorry, no exciting photos of soccer today.

 Love it! I'd never be brave enough to wear my hair like that! ;D

5 Things I've Been Loving

Rain.

 I believe rainy days are the closest we will get to winter weather here. Today is one of those lovely days. I drank hot chocolate this morning. And it is down to 79 degrees. It's beginning to feel like Christmas ;)

Our cat's new house.

Rain is one of her worst enemies. She retreats to the plastic bin outside our front door when it rains.

Who knew plastic could be so cozy?!

Christmas lights.

Pretty self-explanatory. We decorated a week ago, and I'm still having fun taking bokeh photos. I seriously need to learn how to take good Christmas tree photos without 'unfocusing' the photo ;)

It is so utterly and ridiculously impossible that it makes me laugh when I see it. Brownie points for anyone willing to trade me some snow for our 90 degree weather. :P

Christmas music.

Playing it, singing it, listening to it....I've been doing all three and it is wonderful!

Highschool Christmas Banquet

Last night was the high school Christmas banquet...here are some photos.


The room where the banquet was held...it was very nicely decorated with black and white.


Lots of photos were taken :)


People got dressed up...most people wore black or white as that was the theme, but there were splashes of red, blue, and purple too.

Love those earrings!


We ate dinner and talked.


The meal was pretty typical fare...rice, fried chicken, a meat dish, and vegetables.

After dinner, my friend next to me whipped out her cellphone and began playing games. :D


The my friend on the left had "happy birthday" sung to her....it was her 16th birthday that evening.


Then we played some games. She's watching the winners of a game having a championship game!


More games... We also had a hilarious gift exchange that I got no photos of :(


And this was the lobby of the hotel the banquet was held at. :)

It was a great night!
