Basketball Tournament

I spent the day at a basketball tournament on Saturday...our home team won! :) Here are a few photos.

Happy almost weekend to you all... A marine biology boat trip is planned for tomorrow, and I may post some photos from that this weekend sometime. :)

7 Things I've Been Loving Lately

 The title says it all...here are seven things I've been loving lately:

1. The New Year.

I love the anticipation, the new starts, the goals, all the things to look forward to... :) (and a new planner!)

2. The Word.

Speaking of new starts and goals, I've decided to read through the whole Bible this year.
Something I've never done... about time to do it!

I'm afraid a bout of cold and fever put me behind a week or so, but I'm working hard to catch up!

3. Air-conditioning.

For those days when your sick sibling needs a little cool air, or when you are really tired of having sweat dripping down your back. :P

4. Burt's Bees Soap.

I got a little sample tube from a friend, and loved it so much I asked for more for my birthday. 

This soap is amazing. 'Nuff said.

5. Portable Tripods.

Who knew they came so small!? I got it for Christmas, and it fits in my camera case! :D

6. Lava Lamps.

Call me weird, but there's nothing like a lava lamp for a happy glow in a dark room. Makes me smile :)

7. Cat Yawns.

One of the funniest things I've seen.
She obligingly yawned for the camera yesterday, and my whole family got a kick out of the photos I got.

Photo Shoot

Last week I had the privilege of doing a photo shoot for some friends of mine.

They have three sweet daughters, and were a pleasure to work with.

It was very kind of them to ask me to do this for them. I have been wanting to gain a little experience in photographing people in a photo shoot type setting, and this was perfect for me. 

I learned so much, and enjoyed photographing these beautiful girls! :)

Semester Two

Change.

One of my least favorite words.

I love sameness.

But I know change is good, and it has come. 

Today I started my second semester of school.

Which means that I am no longer taking a photography class. It was a one semester deal. :'( 

Many of you know that this blog was for school. Now that I'm no longer taking photography, this blog ceases to be an assignment, and I don't have time to post every other day. 

THIS BLOG IS BY NO MEANS DONE.  

I just wanted to let you know that this blog is no longer my top priority, so posts may not be as many in number.
I will continue posting 2-3 times a week. (You guys know that I tend to post alot of photos, so it takes a few days to load them all anyway! *wink*)

My photography class is over, but I will not stop taking photos. Don't worry about that. :)

Lots of thanks and brownies to my followers and faithful commenters. I DON'T want to lose you now.

And on another note, a web design course is stepping in where my photography course stepped out. 

I have no idea if I will be posting anything online in regards to that soon, but we'll see.

Boats at the Wharf

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days...I started off the new year with a pretty nasty fever/cold, but I'm doing much better now :)
