to Paradise

We went to the beach today.

Yes, I'm afraid the title is a bit misleading.

The beach we went to is called Paradise ;)

We took a boat over to the island where the beach was... about a five minute trip. The floor of the boat was blue. :D

Nothing like, um a friend, uh, to hold your head in place!?

I have no idea what they are doing.

We rented a couple board/boat things to play around on for awhile... and did a little splashing around in the water. (Okay, a LOT of splashing around. We had fun :) )

Lunch was barbecue pork sticks and rice... (YUM!)

Some friends of ours ordered this weird desert. *shiver* I tried it once, and have no desire to try it again.

We took the boat back home a couple hours after lunch, and are enjoying a quiet afternoon now!

And More Flowers

 I spent a good part of yesterday at a volleyball tournament at the school (where I take a few classes)...

I had a lot of fun walking around the campus and taking photos of flowers with a friend :) 

These were beautiful... some kind of orchid, I think.

We couldn't decide what these were; I think they are leaves. But look at how colorful they are! 

This is a random bush.

I know the word random is over used, but it describes this bush well. Please forgive me. :)

 Ah, daisies. I love daisies!

 Enough flowers though. I post way too many photos of flowers on this blog. But they are much easier to photograph than people. They don't (usually) have weird expressions on their faces when I am trying to take their photo ;)

Next time, I'll post some volleyball photos. I'm still learning how to take action photos. And later in the week, I should have some birthday photos to post! *grin*

Butterfly

We spotted this butterfly while we were visiting a village earlier this summer...

Of course I had to stop and take photos, but I could have taken a bunch more if the butterfly had hung around longer. It flew away after just a few seconds, and this is the only good photo I got :(

Ah well, that's how life goes! :) I love the purple markings...

The rock background is cool, but a bit distracting :)

Flowers & Aperture

Hello again! Hope you are having a nice day...

Just wanted to post a few photos I took yesterday. I picked a few flowers from the yard, stuck them in a jar, and headed upstairs to the Deck for the best lighting :)

(below) My mom and my sister both couldn't figure out this photo for some reason. It a jar tipped on its side with flowers in it. I really shouldn't have to tell you that. It is a PHOTO after all. :)
